The Boston Celtics were reportedly kicking the tires on an offer sheet for Brooklyn Nets big man Day'Ron Sharpe, according to recent reporting from HoopsHype's Michael Scotto. The Celtics were looking for competent, low-cost big men this summer to help replace the frontcourt void left by the exits of Al Horford, Kristaps Porzingis, and Luke Kornet via trades or free agency, and Boston's front office
Per the HoopsHype reporter, the Celtics "planned to pursue Nets center Day’Ron Sharpe in free agency" but they would have been limited to offering the Brooklyn big man a minimum deal that came with "a chance to compete for the starting center spot this season."
