Howe claimed the Greenville Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy’s girls basketball tournament title with a 61-36 win over Trenton.
Howe jumped out to a 21-6 lead in the first quarter and never looked back in the championship game.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementReagan McKinney pumped in 23 points to lead Howe to victory and also earn all-tournament honors. Hannah Ingram, who added 12 points, also made the all-tournament team for Howe. Samantha Fuhr added 11 points as Howe improved to 8-1 for the season.
Zoey Morales fired in 13 points for Trenton and all-tournament pick Sophia Hiner scored 11.
Greenville’s junior varsity beat Greenville PTAA 40-39 in overtime in a consolation game. The Lady Lions outscored the Lady Panthers 5-4 in overtime after they were tied 35-35 at the end of regulation.
Jayla Lakey led the victors and all scorers with 20 points and Tru Cabesuela added 10.

PTAA shot just 16-of-41 from the free throw line.

ROYSE CITY — Royse City’s Lady Bulldogs upped their season record to 7-2 with a 64-13 non-district home win over Fort Worth Brewer.
Addison Jacobs led Royse City and all scorers with 13 points while Chloe Bradley tossed in 11 and Jaia Rector added 10.

Farmersville handed the Greenville Lions their first loss of the 2025-2026 basketball season, 86-51 on Monday afternoon in the Lions Den.

Greenville Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy dropped their two games on Monday at the PTAA girls tournament.
Quinlan Ford’s junior varsity beat the Lady Panthers 32-16 and then Trenton beat PTAA 52-14.
Sophia Hiner led Trenton and all scorers with 36 points. She scored 21 of those points in the first quarter as the Lady Tigers led 23-1.
Zariah Richardson led PTAA with six points and Ashlyn Deman added four.
Richardson led PTAA against the Quinlan Ford JV with nine points.
