When looking at the schedule before the season, the Cincinnati Bengals couldn’t afford to suffer much wear and tear around Thanksgiving.

Injuries are inevitable, of course. But the Week 12 game against the New England Patriots was the one to circle in red on the calendar. The Bengals have just a handful of days to rest up before playing the Baltimore Ravens on Thanksgiving.

But the injury bug just wouldn’t let up during the team’s loss to the Patriots on Sunday, headlined by Tee Higgins.

Here’s a quick rundown of the injury list.

Bengals injury recap, Week 12

  • OL Jalen Rivers: Couldn’t play after testing knee/ankle pregame

  • CB Marco Wilson: Hamstring injury

  • RB Tahj Brooks: Concussion

  • QB Joe Flacco: Finger

  • WR Tee Higgins: Concussion

Keep in mind that, before all this, Ja’Marr Chase was suspended and starters like Joe Burrow, Cam Taylor-Britt and Trey Hendrickson were out with injuries. So were names like Cam Sample, Samaje Perine and Daijahn Anthony. This also doesn't include guys who ran off the field with trainers on Sunday or dealt with issues on the sideline, like Joseph Ossai.

One can pretty safely guess that the Bengals won’t have any of these guys who suffered new setbacks on Sunday for Thursday against the Ravens.

So while the Bengals might go ahead and bring Burrow back at 3-8, the rest of the roster will limp into primetime.
