Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith was a full participant in the walkthrough on Thursday and will play on Friday against the Chicago Bears.

This is great news for the Eagles, as Smith is one of their best weapons. He has been their most productive receiver this season, as he's hauled in 55 receptions for 754 yards and five touchdowns.

Philadelphia's passing offense has been inconsistent this season, but Smith has been a reliable target for quarterback Jalen Hurts.

The Eagles are coming off a loss in Week 12 to the Dallas Cowboys, 24-21. They scored all 21 of their points in the first half, and couldn't get anything going after that. While it was a difficult loss, Smith played well, catching six passes for 89 yards.

Philadelphia still holds a commanding lead over the Cowboys in the NFC East, but is battling for the one seed. The Los Angeles Rams have the edge at 9-2, which is why the Eagles will need to play well down the stretch to earn a first-round bye.

Philadelphia has played well this season despite some inconsistencies on offense. Their defense is playing at an elite level, as they held the Detroit Lions to nine points and the Green Bay Packers to seven points.

If the offense can catch up, it will help the Eagles on their quest to repeat as Super Bowl champions.

Part of the Eagles' struggles has been getting less out of the run game. Running back Saquon Barkley has rushed for 684 yards and four touchdowns on 185 carries (3.7 yards per carry).

This is a far cry from last season, where Barkley rushed for 2,005 yards and 13 touchdowns on 384 carries (5.8 yards per carry). The less explosive plays in the run game have resulted in the pass game also having some struggles.

Wide receiver AJ Brown is a great example, as he's had four games under 30 receiving yards.

Smith has been the most consistent weapon for the Eagles through it all. If they can build some momentum, starting with their matchup against the 8-3 Bears on Friday.
