Antonio Conte is still unsure about Billy Gilmour and Leonardo Spinazzola’s recovery time: ‘Sometimes I’d like the medical staff to talk more about the situation because they’re specialists.’

Gilmour and Spinazzola’s recovery time remains uncertain as the pair is expected to miss Tuesday’s Champions League game against Qarabag.

“Sometimes I’d like the medical staff to talk more about the situation because they’re specialists,” Conte said when asked about Gilmour and Spinazzola’s injury situation.

“These aren’t muscle injuries, and if you ask me about recovery times, even today, I’m still unable to know.”

Both Gilmour and Spinazzola suffered “inflammation in the pubic area” earlier this month and have missed the last three games across all competitions.

Romelu Lukaku, Alex Meret, Kevin De Bruyne and Frank Anguissa are also out of action for Napoli and Conte said today the Partenopei will need to put their “helmets on” to deal with the ongoing injury crisis.
