When you thought the New York Giants might build some momentum, they look up and remember that they are the Giants. Remember that embarrassing Thursday night loss the Philadelphia Eagles suffered at their hands? Doesn't that feel like it was six months ago?
The Birds were scheduled to face their longtime rivals in primetime. That morning, Amazon Prime released a documentary detailing Saquon Barkley's escape from Gotham. That decision seemed ill-timed following the Eagles' 34-17 loss.

On the other side of the pendulum is the Philadelphia Eagles. They entered Week 12 as the winners of four straight. They annihilated New York to avenge their earlier loss with a 38-20 home stand.
The Giants haven't won since beating the Birds at MetLife Stadium. After losing in overtime to the Detroit Lions in Motor City, they have lost six straight games and own a 2-10 record.
That said, the Giants are now officially eliminated from the postseason. Their tailspin continues. Though they seemed they'd never be playoff guests, seeing the official pink slip delivered will bring a smile to Eagles fans' faces. There's an old saying, though unofficial. It's equally satisfying to see the Giants fail as it is to see the Birds pile up wins.
