Nick Sirianni won't find any success in selling his Week 12 theory about the Eagles' offensive approach.

This great nation isn't short on great sports towns, but some cities are just different. Any proud Ohioan from the beautiful city of Columbus and every southerner from Clemson, South Carolina, can all agree on something. There is nothing like a Philadelphia Eagles fan.

The Las Vegas Raiders Nation and the Buffalo Bills Mafia might come close, but the whirlwinds, both good and bad, that surround the Eagles on a day-in and day-out basis have no comparison.

Take, for example, Philadelphia's Week 12 collapse against the Dallas Cowboys. If that happened in Buffalo, it would be seen as disappointing, but the angst wouldn't in any way equal what would be heard in the City of Brotherly Love on the radio.

To make matters worse, this is yet another in a long line of depressing performances from Kevin Patullo's unit. The Eagles' offense hasn't put four solid quarters together all season. The phrase 'too conservative' has been uttered so much this season that it seems necessary to retire the phrase.

Among the immediate takeaways from another Sirianni-steered collapse is that the offense took its foot off the gas and couldn't put a broken opponent away. That conversation stretched past the final whistle and into postgame press conferences. It's a theory that Nick Sirianni denies.

Good luck selling that one in the City of Brotherly Love. We can promise you two things. One is that this discussion is not yet complete. The second is: if you're already fatigued by this, you don't want to tune in to sports radio on Monday.

The sting of this will have to fade quickly. The Los Angeles Rams are 9-2 and are now atop the National Football Conference. The Eagles play the 8-3 Chicago Bears on Black Friday. They have won eight of their nine games after beginning the season with a 0-2 record. Nick Sirianni's squad must turn the page quickly. One loss can't lead to two.
